MFO and Sharm El Sheikh in the Sinai Desert
During my time in the Sinai I’ve met so many wonderful people. From my pals in our Dutch contingent, Mike the Helicopter Pilot, the American contractors I have worked for, the local Bedouins we met on our trips, the guys from the 82nd Airborne Division (Panthers 501), the cleaners and so many others. A colourful bunch and I often think of them and wonder how they are doing now.
The mission of the MFO is to supervise the implementation of the security provisions of the Egyptian-Israeli Treaty of Peace and employ best efforts to prevent any violation of its terms. Read more….
