MFO and Sharm El Sheikh in the Sinai Desert
SCC6 is the most remote Sector Control Centre as it is located on top of a hill, Gebel Sukhn. The views from the top are breathtaking on a clear day. At night you could see the lights at Eilat and the sunrises and sunsets were very spectacular, and so was the trip up by car over a very narrow track. Pure adventure!
The mission of the MFO is to supervise the implementation of the security provisions of the Egyptian-Israeli Treaty of Peace and employ best efforts to prevent any violation of its terms. Read more….
